Hotel Histeria: escalating replay modes, AI-generated content, and a trophy room
Hotel Histeria is our upcoming story-driven hotel management game — seven floors, seven distinct character-driven stories, and seven completely different minigames along the way, from arcade shooters to sliding puzzles to a climb-and-dodge chase. Here’s what’s new.
Escalating replay modes
Every minigame in Hotel Histeria only has to be beaten once to move the story forward — but we wanted a real reason to keep playing them after that. So six of the seven now have a dedicated replay mode, unlocked once you’ve already cleared that floor, where the difficulty actually escalates instead of staying flat:
- The opening ship battle now has 50 levels instead of one flat round, with the enemy’s fire rate, movement speed, and bullet size all ramping up — plus a heavier assault every 10 levels.
- The top-down shooter’s enemies spawn and move faster the closer you get to the win score, with a burst wave every 10 kills.
- The trust-building dialogue minigame tightens its own answer timer as you get closer to winning.
- The stealth drag-and-drop puzzle raises its own risk meter faster the fewer items you have left to secure.
- The sliding puzzle steps up from a 4×4 to a 5×5 grid and drops the numbered tile hint entirely — you get a full preview of the picture beforehand and have to reconstruct it from memory.
- The climb-and-dodge chase spawns and drops its hazards faster as the clock winds down.
AI-generated content
One of the dialogue minigames now offers a rewarded-video-gated question refresh, backed by a real AI model that generates a fresh set of questions on demand — and the psychological subtlety of those questions escalates with every refresh you request, starting from your very first one.
A real trophy room
Every floor now earns its own trophy the moment you see its story through, displayed in a proper trophy case in your inventory. Tap one and you’ll see its real artwork (as it lands, floor by floor), how that floor’s story resolved, your personal best score wherever the minigame has one, and the date you actually earned it. A handful of floors even flash a brief “trophy unlocked” toast the instant you clear them.
More updates as development continues.
